My miniature painting history

My first encounter with miniature painting was in my childhood. I found the monthly White Dwarf in a local kiosk and was in love with the awesome looking minis. Back then I didn’t know that one has to paint these himself. After finding a local store that selled Games Workshop products and the nice vendor there finished explaining everything I needed to know, I went home with my very first Warhammer models. It was a starter set of Dark Angels with a few mini paint pots and a brush. After I painted 2 or 3 of the five included Space Marines in a beginner friendly (sloppy) Dark Angel scheme the chaos gods began to whisper to me. So I painted the next one in a Black Legion scheme. I was hooked. From this point on I hardly bought anything else but chaos minis from Games Workshop. But as many things do life changed and my interest in the hobby slowly faded away due to other things I had or wanted to do in my teenage years.

A few years back I rediscovered old models when I was moving to my new apartement. I was hooked again and due to the pandemic I had nothing else to do so I could really dive in to the hobby once more. I loved the feeling of painting again and had so many memories that came into my mind while I started to give a Khorne demon some colours. As I had the time and the money now to explore the miniature painting hobby and my creativity, the hobby became a big part of my life. So here I am explaining the root of my passion for painting models. Continuously trying to be better at painting and enhancing my skills. I hope you have fun exploring my site and might even find some inspiration for yourself.
